Alan Mowbray as Inspector Lestrade in movie A Study in Scarlet (1933)

Alan Mowbray (18 august 1896 - 25 march 1969) was a British actor who played Inspector Lestrade in the movie A Study in Scarlet in 1933 with Reginald Owen as Sherlock Holmes.

He also played Colonel Gore-King in 1932 in the movie Sherlock Holmes with Clive Brook as Sherlock Holmes. And he played Major Duncan-Bleek in 1946 in Terror by Night with Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes.
