John Hawkesworth

John Stanley Hawkesworth (7 december 1920 - 30 september 2003) was a British producer and writer who wrote most of the episodes of the TV series Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett.

He was also the writer of the 13 episodes of the non-sherlockian TV series Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1967.

In 1968, he wrote the episode The Kiss of Blood (adaptation of The Case of Lady Sannox) for the BBC TV series Late Night Horror.

In 1970, he wrote The Poison Belt, a pilot for a TV series about Professor Challenger which was never cast.
