Tim McInnerny (born 18 september 1956) is a British actor who played John Clay in 1985 in episode The Red Headed League of the TV series The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes.

He also played the reporter John Ferret in 1997 in the movie FairyTale: A True Story with Peter O'Toole as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. He also played Selden in 2005 in the TV movie The Strange Case of Sherlock Holmes and Arthur Conan Doyle with Douglas Henshall as Arthur Conan Doyle.

In 2016, he played Sir Eustace Carmichael in the episode The Abominable Bride with Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes. The same year, he played the role of Horace Merring in 3 episodes of the TV series Houdini & Doyle with Stephen Mangan as Arthur Conan Doyle.
