Following up their advantage in the initial stage of this match at the Saffrons, Eastbourne, the home team yesterday secured an early and decisive victory the balance in their favour at the finish being an innings and 65 runs. Mr. A. S. Francis carried his overnight score to 112. The chief hits in his brilliant compilation being — one 5, sixteen 4's, and seven 3's. In the second innings of the visitors, Mr. Gilbert took five wickets for 41, and Mr. W. J. Ford two for 22. Full scores:—
