Family

Arthur Conan Doyle was part of a big family. He had 7 sisters and 1 brother. Unfortunately, a lot of relatives died during Conan Doyle lifetime : his father died in 1893, his first wife Touie died in 1906, his son Kingsley died in 1918, his brother Innes died in 1919, his beloved mother died in 1920, his brother in law Ernest W. Hornung died in 1921, his two sisters Connie and Dodo died in 1924 and 1927... A strong motive for searching to communicate with the deads.
