CAPT. WYNYARD MAKES HUNDRED AND FIFTY-ONE.

This one-day fixture at Lord's, favoured, as it was, by delightful weather, attracted a fairly large attendance, and resulted in an easy victory for the Club by 109 runs. Batting first, the M.C.C. team totalled 342 in about three hours, Capt. Wywyard contributing an excellent hundred and fifty-one, which contained a 6 and twenty-three 4's, and K. J. Key forty-eight. Carter was the most successful bowler with five wickets for 79. The naval eleven were disposed of on the stroke of six o'clock for 233. Commander H. D. R. Watson being responsible for exactly a hundred — a capital innings, which included fifteen boundary strokes. Wigram and Dangar each secured four victims, at a cost of 54 and 61 runs respectively, and Key took two for 51. Full score:
