Houdini & Doyle
Houdini & Doyle is a British-Canadian TV mini-series (10 episodes) produced by Big Talk Productions (UK) and Shaftesbury (Canada), starring Stephen Mangan as Arthur Conan Doyle and Michael Weston as Houdini, aired from 13 march to 12 may 2016 on ITV Encore (UK).
Though Conan Doyle and Houdini were real friends, the show exaggerates reality and turn the two heroes into crime solving sleuths.
In august 2016, the show was cancelled after its first and only season. The reason was poor ratings (0.4 rating with 1.77 million viewers for the 10th episode).
