Letter

My dear Smith

I could let an artist have a first instalment right away. I should be interested to know your dates, as my own date for including it as the 'bonne bouche' in my collected Stories will depend upon that. If for example you timed it so as to wind up — and its a real juicy wind up — in the Xmas No appearing Dec 7th or thereabouts I could have my book in time for the Xmas publishing season.

Yours very truly
A Conan Doyle.
