Letter

My Dear Smith

Here is a mighty grim story for your Xmas number if you want it.

I will sell it to McClure for his special anniversary number in November so I can only offer you the British use of it.

The price (British rights) would be £200. I do few short stories nowadays and may have none other to offer.

Yours very truly
A Conan Doyle.

I leave England April 11th. Golden x today & tomorrow.
