Letter

Dear Sir

Would you oblige me with three copies of your kindly notice of my lecture, which appeared in your issue of friday.

It was very full and accurate — so much so that my manager was rather afraid that it might get ahead of me, and anticipate me in some of the towns I have to visit. I trust however that so far as possible you will prevent this.

Thanking you for your courtesy

Your faithfully

Arthur Conan Doyle
