Letter to the press about Rifle Competition

From The Arthur Conan Doyle Encyclopedia

This letter was dictated by Arthur Conan Doyle from Undershaw, Hindhead, Haslemere, to the press about his rifle competition held on 2 may 1903. Undated [1903]. Written by secretary or relative.

Dear Sir:

On May 2nd (Saturday) I have a rifle competition at my own range here, open to the various civilian rifle clubs of Surrey, Sussex & Hampshire.

This movement has already added 25,000 good men to the forces of the country. So I think it deserves encouragement from the press.

If you should send down a representative, I should do what I could to make him comfortable.

Yours truly
Arthur Conan Doyle.
