This match at Lord's resulted on Tuesday in an easy victory for the M.C.C. When play ceased on Monday the M.C.C. had made 312 for their first innings, whilst Buckinghamshire had lost six wickets for 42 runs. The visiting county yesterday increased their score to 127, Saunders making 77 not out. Among his hits were a 5, eight 4's, two 3's, and six 2's. They had to follow on, but only succeeded in making 142, the M.C.C. thus winning by an innings and 43 runs. Scores:—
