FURTHER, PLAY ABANDONED.

This two days' match, commenced at Lord's Ground, St. John's Wood, N. W., on Wednesday, ended yesterday (Thursday) in a draw through the adverse state of the weather. Rain commencing steadily to fall some considerable time before mid-day and keeping on with great persistency for a lengthened period, the ground became so saturated that further play was out of the question, and at a quarter-past two the stumps were pulled up and the match left drawn.
