Plans are well in hand for a memorial to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Lady Doyle has stated that the memorial shall take the form of a great building in London to be a world centre for the spiritualist movement.
Letters from all parts of the world have reached Lady Doyle suggesting various forms for a memorial. An American admirer of Sir Arthur wrote suggesting a tower with a permanent light at the top.
"I should like this memorial building to have a dome with a naked flame burning day and night at the top to symbolise the burning faith and everlastingness of our belief," said Lady Doyle. "We hope that the work in connection with the proposed memorial will begin shortly, and that people of all countries will respond to the appeal which is about to be issued."
