Arthur Conan Doyle seems to be once again most popularly referred to as Dr. Doyle, at least, so I gather from the press notices:

When Doyle, the writer, first essayed
The literary Moil
Scarce any name at all he made—
Just Arthur Conan Doyle
But as success his efforts crowned,
Rewarding splendid toil,
His name expanded at a bound
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Now that his work, be what it may
Is in the occult coil,
His other title gets some play—
He's Dr. Conan Doyle.
