Robert Downey Jr. (born 4 april 1965) is an American actor who played Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock Holmes in 2009, and in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows in 2011.
This is the first and only actor who won a Golden Globe for the portrayal of Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows earned $534.4 million worldwide ($186.8 million in USA and $357 million abroad) more than Sherlock Holmes. These scores put episode 2 at rank #82, and episode 1 at rank #89 of the worldwide box office in the history of cinema. Warner is preparing a third Sherlock Holmes with Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3) for the script.
