Sherlock Holmes (copyright performance) is a performance of the William Gillette's "Sherlock Holmes" play performed only once on 12 june 1899 (4 months before the USA official premiere) at the Duke of York Theatre (London, UK), before an audience comprising three persons only : Charles Frohman (the producer), William Gillette (the playwright) and Annie Russell (an actress), starring Herbert Waring as Sherlock Holmes and Ida Conquest as Alice Faulkner.
