  1. The sale included also an autographed letter by Conan Doyle to presumably Peter F. Collier dated december 1908. Inscribed "To Mr. Collier with best Xmas wishes, December 1908 from Arthur Conan Doyle."
  2. Sold with an original drawing of the character Charles Augustus Milverton, made by Frederic Dorr Steele in 1904 and published with the story in its first appearance in Collier's. Pen-and ink and black crayon on paper, 225 x 185mm.
  3. The lot also included an autograph letter signed by Conan Doyle's mother, Mary Doyle, to Jean Conan Doyle, and an autograph note by Mary Doyle concerning the fragment and printed copy of Conan Doyle's essay 'My First Book VI. - Juvenilia' in The Idler, January 1893, Vol. 2, pp. 633-640, with his alterations for a future edition.
