The Crucifer of Blood is a British play, written and directed by Paul Giovanni, performed at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket (London, UK) from 15 march 1979 to 1 march 1980 (397 performances), starring Keith Michell as Sherlock Holmes and Denis Lill as Dr. Watson. From 10 september 1979, the cast changed and the two main roles were Gerald Harper as Sherlock Holmes and David Horovitch as Dr. Watson.
The play is an adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's novel: The Sign of Four (1890).
