The Crucifer of Blood is an American play written by Paul Giovanni and directed by Paxton Whitehead, first performed at the Westport Country Playhouse (Westport, CT, USA) from 18 to 23 june 1979 (6 performances) then in Philadelphia (16 perf.) and Denver (17 perf.), starring Paxton Whitehead as Sherlock Holmes and Timothy Landfield as Dr. Watson.

The play is an adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's novel : The Sign of Four (1890).
