Robert Powell (born 1 june 1944) is an English television, film and stage actor, best known for his performance as Jesus in TV movie ''Jesus of Nazareth'' (1977).

In 1974, he played [[Sherlock Holmes]] in the radio show [[A Study in Scarlet (radio 1974)|A Study in Scarlet]] with [[Dinsdale Landen]] as [[Dr. Watson]]. In 1993 he played [[Sherlock Holmes]] in the musical play [[Sherlock Holmes: The Musical (1993)|Sherlock Holmes: The Musical]] with [[Roy Barraclough]] as [[Dr. Watson]]. 25 years later, in 2018, he played [[Sherlock Holmes]] again in the play [[Sherlock Holmes: The Final Curtain]] with [[Timothy Kightley]] as [[Dr. Watson]].
