[[Sir Arthur Conan Doyle|Sir A. Conan Doyle]], who is understood to be gathering material for a new series of [[Sherlock Holmes]] stories, dealing more especially with bank frauds, caused some surprise in the Liverpool Police Court by unexpectedly walking up the steps leading from the cells to the dock.<br />
