During his lecturing tour in 1920-1921 in Australia, Arthur Conan Doyle arrived in Adelaide in september 1920 from Fremantle and stayed at the Grand Central Hotel. On 24 september, he had a lunch with the governor of South Australia, Sir A. Weigall, and on 25 he had his first lecture at the Town Hall before around 2000 people. In october he attended a Spiritualist service at the Auditorium. In february 1921, on his way back home on the S.S. Naldera, he went via Adelaide.<br />
