[[Branford Bryan Angell]]. The father of the baby administered the sacrament of baptism in the case of Branford Bryan, the infant boy of the Rev. C. C. and Mrs. Angell, of Dalston, Cumberland, the ceremony taking place on the 22nd ult., at the Church of St. Michael and All Angels, Dalston. Mr. T. H. Brockbank (Greensyke, Dalston), [[John Francis Innes Hay Doyle|Captain I. H. Doyle]] (Umballa, India), and Mrs. Nelson Foley (Tascadi Gaiola, Naples) were the godparents. The many gifts included a silver border spoon and fork, from Mr. T. H. Brockbank. A silver war souvenir spoon from Mrs. Richardson. Silver napkin ring from Mrs. Robinson. Christening robe from Mrs. Bardsley. A christening cloak from Miss Hawkins; and other presents from [[Mary Josephine Elizabeth Foley|Mrs. Doyle]], [[Jean Elizabeth Leckie|Mrs. A. Conan Doyle]], Miss Doyle, Mrs. Foley, Mr. E. W. Hornung, Miss Angell, Mr. H. F.
