Dr. Doyle delivered his lecture on George Meredith in the Caledonia Road Church, Glasgow, last evening, when there was a large audience. Dr. Doyle had been advertised to speak on &quot;Facts about Fiction,&quot; and at the outset he said he regretted that owing to a mistake the title of the wrong lecture had been given, but his experience was that people who were interested in facts about fiction were also likely to be interested in the man whom he regarded as the greatest writer of fiction, and he trusted the mistake would be forgiven.<br />
