SIR A. CONAN DOYLE AS A PUBLICITY AGENT?

"Daily Express" Correspondent.

NEW YORK, Monday, June 5.

It is suggested that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has been used presumably unconsciously, as a publicity agent for the purpose of securing world-wide notices for a new film. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle mystified the guests at the magicians' dinner on Friday night by showing them a film of
dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals.

Threats are now being made that this exhibition infringed somebody's copyright and that legal redress may be sought. Sir Arthur refuses to discuss this phase of the matter, but says that the pictures were not spiritualistic, and that his purpose was simply to play a joke on the magicians.

The newspapers have dropped the incident, apparently not being desirous of contributing more free advertising space to a film publicity enterprise.
