	I thought I knew what he meant and I told him that I did not think that anything could ever add to his reputation after doing "[[Sherlock Holmes]]." SIR ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE is as different from Burke as day is from night, which is a fitting simile. He is a great big, smiling, spontaneous fellow; enthusiastic about everything, particularly some new "finds" he had made in the spirit world, of which he showed me the negatives. Then he showed me some alleged photographs of fairies that had recently come into his hands.

All movie fans will readily recall "[[The Lost World (movie 1925)|The Lost World]]," taken from a [[The Lost World|book of the same name]] by [[Arthur Conan Doyle|Doyle]], by the way. It is no more the story of a group of scientists who went out and stumbled over a lost world of still-existing prehistoric uncivilization than it is a spectacle of the drama in the lives of those mastodonic animals under the pressure of a great catastrophe. The marvelous feature of the picture lies in the reproduction of all the antediluvian — "auruses" — dinosauruses, ichthyosauruses, etc. — in the life.
