Gustave Henri Émile Blanchot aka "Gus Bofa" (23 may 1883 - 1 september 1968) was a French illustrator and writer. <br />
<br />
Circa 1920-1923, he did 5 illustrations for [[Arthur Conan Doyle]]'s fictions published by [[L'Édition Française Illustrée]].<br />
<br />
These same cover illustrations were used for different volumes. Note that one of the illustrations shows a character disguised as [[Sherlock Holmes]] but was not used to illustrate a Sherlock Holmes volume, but for [[The Doings of Raffles Haw]] / [[The Retirement of Signor Lambert]].<br />
