Hugh Laurie (born 11 june 1959) is a British actor, writer, director, composer, musician, producer and singer who played from 2004-2012 the character Dr. Gregory House in the TV series [[House M.D. (TV series 2004-2012)|House M.D.]] This character is largely inspired from [[Sherlock Holmes]], with which he shares many similarities.
