John Barrymore (15 february 1882 - 29 may 1942) was an American actor who played [[Sherlock Holmes]] in 1922 in the movie [[Sherlock Holmes (movie 1922)|Sherlock Holmes]] (released in UK as [[Sherlock Holmes (movie 1922)|Moriarty]]) with [[Roland Young]] as Dr. Watson and [[Gustav von Seuffertitz]] as Moriarty.

He was also known for his role in Raffles in 1917.
