José Simont Guillèn, known as José Simont (30 september 1875 - 19 november 1968) was a Spanish born illustrator. He moved to Paris in 1898 and worked for famous periodicals like ''Le Monde Illustré'', ''L'Illustration'', ''Fémina'', ''The Illustrated London News'' or the ''Berliner Illustrierte Zeitung''. In 1921, he moved to United States where he signed a contract with [[Collier's]] and stayed there until 1932. Then he returned to Paris and worked again for ''L'Illustration''. In 1947, he decided to return back and live in Spain. From 1962 to 1968, he lived in Venezuela and draw until the end.<br />
