These teams met under favourable climatic conditions, in the Dripping Pan, on Monday. The Blue Mantles batted first, and compiled 151. J. H. Kelsey being the top scorer with 48. Bowling for the Priory, F. Hutson captured five wickets for 58 nine, A. Hilton three for 39, and Capt. F. J. Postlethwaite one for 40. The Priory had knocked up 144 when the ninth wicket fell, but Hutson, the last man stayed with Hilton while the score was carried to 159, thus leaving the home team victorious, after an interesting and exciting game, by eight runs. For the losers, [[Alfred H. Wood|A. H. Wood]] obtained four wickets at a cost of 50 runs, F. D. Curtis two for 20, and [[Arthur Conan Doyle|Sir A. Conan Doyle]] two for 41. Luncheon was served in excellent style by Mr. Cox, of the Royal Oak Hotel. Score:—
