The greatest of modern detectives, "[[Sherlock Holmes (play 1902 Prince of Wales Theatre, Birmingham)|Sherlock Holmes]]," will be introduced to the Prince of Wales Theatre next week by [[William Gillette|Mr. William Gillette]], the famous American actor.

We all know [[Sherlock Holmes]] as presented by [[Arthur Conan Doyle|Dr. Conan Doyle]]. But this stage play deals with a "hitherto unpublished episode" of his career, wherein a certain charming young lady named Alice Faulkner is concerned. Following his notable success in America, [[William Gillette|Mr. Gillette]] recently finished a long and profitable season at the London Lyceum, and is now prospering in the provinces before returning for another extended run of the piece in his own land.

He will be supported at the Prince of Wales Theatre by a strong company, including [[W. L. Abingdon|Mr. W. L. Abingdon]], [[Percy Lyndal|Mr. Percy Lyndal]], and [[Amy Betteley|Miss Amy Betteley]].

Once more to the Grand Theatre comes that lively musical comedy "Morocco Bound."

Melodrama reigns at the Queen's and Imperial, while Aston offers "The Rich and Poor of London."
R. G. Knowles will be the bright particular star of the Empire. The Frantz Family of acrobats hold first place on the Gaiety bill. An entertaining list is being arranged for the Tivoli.

The Band of the Queen's Own Yorkshire Dragoons will be heard at the Bingley Hall Exhibition.
