Nigel Davenport (23 may 1928 - 25 october 2013) was a British actor who played [[Sir Arthur Conan Doyle]] in 1972 in episode [[Conan Doyle (The Edwardians S01E04)|Conan Doyle]] of the TV series ''The Edwardians''.<br />

He also played Lord Smithwick in 1988 in the movie [[Without a Clue]] with [[Michael Caine]] as Sherlock Holmes. <br />
