[[Frank Heine]], l'auteur du faux traité franco-belge, est dit-on excellent pasticheur littéraire. Dernièrement, il publiait, dans une feuille hollandaise, un conte imité de [[Arthur Conan Doyle|Conan Doyle]] et signé Canon Doyle. Le romancier anglais prit la chose en fort mauvaise part. Le pastiche l'eût peut-être amusé; le Canon lui déplut, au point qu'il intenta une action judiciaire à [[Frank Heine]] et à son journal. Le tribunal d'Anvers, ces jours-ci, a condamné [[Frank Heine]] à mille francs de dommages-intérêts; le pasticheur saura ce qu'il en coûte de transformer Conan en Canon.

== Pasticher... and Forger (English) ==

[[Frank Heine]], the author of the fake Franco-Belgian treaty, is said to be an excellent literary pastiche writer. Recently, he published, in a Dutch newspaper, a short story imitating [[Arthur Conan Doyle|Conan Doyle]] and signed Canon Doyle. The English novelist took this very badly. The pastiche might have amused him; the Canon displeased him so much that he brought legal action against [[Frank Heine]] and his newspaper. The Antwerp court recently ordered [[Frank Heine]] to pay a thousand francs in damages; the pasticher will now know the price of transforming Conan into Canon.
