Philip Davis (born 30 july 1953) is a British actor who played Roy in 1997 in the movie [[Photographing Fairies]] with [[Edward Hardwicke]] as [[Sir Arthur Conan Doyle]]. He also played in 2010, firstly, the Taxi Driver in the unaired pilot and, secondly, Jeff in the episode [[A Study in Pink]] both of the [[Sherlock (TV series)|Sherlock]] TV series with [[Benedict Cumberbatch]] as [[Sherlock Holmes]]. He also played in 2015 the role of Inspector Gilbert in the movie [[Mr. Holmes]] (2015) with [[Ian McKellen]] as [[Sherlock Holmes]].<br />
