This postcard was written by [[Arthur Conan Doyle]] between 1925 and 1930 from [[The Psychic Bookshop]], 2 Victoria Street, S.W.1, London, about psychic inquisitions.
These inquisitions are really quite hopeless & in the past not always honest. When we have shown all we could and had verbal acknowledgements that the Investigator was astounded, the report has been sceptical. This has occurred several times in my own experience. The obvious fact is that if the public won't believe Crookes or Lodge or Barrett or even my humble self with 41 years of experience behind me, what weight can they attack to a little group of experimenters in a short research, some of them probably antagonistic & therefore disturbers of honour. You can't touch a button & get results. It is psychic — of the soul — and the sitters souls are part of the experiment.
I don't think any other paper will get cooperation of spiritualists & mediums.
