This two days' match at Westward Ho ended on Saturday in a win for the M.C.C. by an innings and 129 runs. The visitors had for their captain [[Arthur Conan Doyle|Sir A. Conan Doyle]], who contributed a correctly played 64. Atfield (111) and Moulkton (59 not out) gave an excellent exhibition, and for the last wicket added 133 runs. In their first innings on Friday, Rev. R. W. Sealy's eleven got 75 for four wickets, but on resuming play on Saturday the remainder collapsed, adding only 15 runs.
