''Sherlock Holmes: The Vatican Cameos'' is a video game developped and published by Ellicott Creek Software (US) released in 1986 on PC and Apple II.

This is a 100% textual game.

''The affair of the Vatican Cameos'' is an [[:Category:Untold Stories|untold story]] mentioned in [[The Hound of the Baskervilles]] by Sherlock Holmes himself: « I was exceedingly preoccupied by that little affair of the Vatican cameos, and in my anxiety to oblige the Pope I lost touch with several interesting English cases. »

The game is a classic investigation on a murder, but to win the game, the player has to be in the right place at the right time and then be summoned to testify in court. Then, he must correctly answer a series of ten questions in order to convict the culprit and win the game.
