As I have more than once notified [[Louisa Hawkins|Lady Conan Doyle]] and Mrs. Thomas Hardy have kindly consented to undertake the responsibility of deciding from the photographs that are put before them which are the most beautiful children in the British Isles. A more detailed account of this competition will be found on page viii. I would again remind my readers that although this competition has been running for some weeks there is still time to enter for it as it does not close for nearly a month.&lt;br /&gt;
