Sir, — The enclosed extract from a letter just received from the Congo may throw some light on the situation. The Rev. W. M. Morrison, the writer, is the American missionary who was lately prosecuted for libel by the Kasai Company before a Congo Tribunal. As he won his case at the first hearing, there is some independent guarantee for his veracity. The important point in the letter is that the Grands Lacs Company, whose misdeeds are here exposed, is the very company with which M. Renkin, the Belgian Colonial Minister, has been indentified as a director, and that these acts have been committed at or about the time of his actual visit to the country.<br />
