The information recently received from England with reference to the true scale of British military effort has attracted considerable attention in the Russian Press.<br />

Special articles on this subject, including one by an ex-member of the Duma, M. Aladin, in the ''Novoe Vremya'', happily coincide with the publication of a letter from [[Sir Arthur Conan Doyle]]. addressed to "Our Russian Friends and Brothers," explaining in detail England's part in the war. There is also a very notable increase of independent recognition of Great Britain's services, together with generous appreciations of the personal heroism of the individual arms of our fighting forces. <br />
