&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;New page&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;William Small (1843-1929), aka W. Small, was a British landscape painter, water colorist, illustrator and painter. He was born and trained in Edinburgh, but then moved to London. He illustrated in many periodicals, including [[Good Words]] and [[The Cornhill Magazine]], and also drew for a variety of books of poetry, songs, and children&amp;#039;s stories. He also contributed a very few drawings to Cassell&amp;#039;s History of England.&lt;br /&gt;

He signed: W.S.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Between 1884 and 1902, he did 7 illustrations for [[Arthur Conan Doyle]]&amp;#039;s works.&lt;br /&gt;
