Adelaide Claxton (1860s-1890s) was a British painter, illustrator, and inventor. She was one of the first British women artists to make a living through her drawings in several periodicals, such as London Society.

In 1882, she did 1 illustration for Arthur Conan Doyle's short story Our Derby Sweepstakes.
