Conan Doyle may get away with it, but look out if you try it yourself is a comic strip by J. N. "Ding" Darling published in The Sunday Oregonian on 7 may 1922.

This refers to Arthur Conan Doyle conferences on spiritualism where he was showing photos of spirits.

Comic Strip

The Sunday Oregonian (7 may 1922, section 5, p. 10)

Man: You can't guess who I've been visiting with! — A ghost! Saw it just as plain as I see you.

Man: I asked it all about everybody over there. Heaven is great. Everything grand! Grandpa is happy and only 25 years old, little cousin Nell is about 25 too. Old aunt Molly's 25, Napoleon is 25, George Washington is 25. Everybody's happy.

Man: No no! You've got it wrong. This is the real dope. I got it straight from a ghost——

Arthur Conan Doyle: I've seen and talked with this spirit many times.
