Douglas Wilmer (8 january 1920 - 31 march 2016) was a British actor who played Sherlock Holmes in 1964-1965 in the 13-episode TV series Sherlock Holmes with Nigel Stock as Dr. Watson, and also on cinema in the parodic movie The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother.

In 2005, he was interviewed for the documentary The Man Who Loved Sherlock Holmes as he was a close friend of Richard Lancelyn Green.

In 2012, he made a cameo appearance in the episode The Reichenbach Fall of the Sherlock series with Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes.
