Continuing their innings in this match, at the Saffrons, Eastbourne, yesterday, the home side carried their score to 400 for six wickets, and then declared leaving their opponents in a minority of 248. In their second essay Plaistow made but a moderate stand of Vine disposing of eight of their number for 36. They were ultimately beaten by an innings and 51 runs. For Eastbourne, M. H. Stanbrough knocked up 102 (not out) in brilliant style, his principal hits being sixteen 4's and three 3's. Score:—
