George W. Bellows

George Wesley Bellows (12 or 19 august 1882 - 8 january 1925) was an American realist painter, known for his bold depictions of urban life in New York City, becoming the most acclaimed American artist of his generation.
In 1922, he did 1 illustration for Arthur Conan Doyle's short story The Centurion (published as I Saw Him Crucified).
