Great Britain is an island in North Atlantic ocean including England, Wales and Scotland.


In the Sherlock Holmes Stories

  • "Great Britain" in these words appears only 3 times in the Sherlock Holmes stories : NOBL 71, NAVA 124 and SECO 115
  • "England" appears 137 times.
  • "United Kingdom" is not used in the Sherlock Holmes stories. Annexion of North Ireland was in 1921.
