John Hillerman (20 december 1932 - 9 november 2017) was an American actor, famous for his role as Higgins in TV series Magnum P.I.. In this series, in Holmes Is Where the Heart Is (S04E18) he was believed to be Watson by his friend David Worth (Patrick Macnee) who believed himself to be Sherlock Holmes.

He also played Dr. Watson in TV movie Hands of a Murderer in 1990 with Edward Woodward as Sherlock Holmes.
